The American Association of Ophthalmic Pathologists is a professional association of medical doctors who practice, teach and or engage in research in ophthalmic pathology. The membership of the AAOP includes board-certified academic ophthalmologists and pathologists as well as individuals certified in both specialties. All are qualified by additional sub-specialty fellowship training in ophthalmic pathology.
Dr. Barbara Streeten, 89
Dear Members and Colleagues: It is with sadness that we share the news of Dr. Barbara Streeten’s passing this past Sunday, February 8. Dr. Streeten was one of our founding members and the first woman to be President of the AAOP (1987-1989).
2014 AAOOP Annual Meeting
Please join us in Chicago for an exciting change in this year’s AAOOP Annual Meeting. For the first time ever, the AAOOP has partnered with the AAO in the creation of an Ocular Oncology and Pathology Subspecialty Day at the Academy’s Subspecialty program. This meeting aims to provide a comprehensive and focused review of state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment procedures for retinoblastoma, melanoma, other intraocular tumors, conjunctival tumors, eyelid tumors, and orbital tumors. The meeting takes place on Saturday, October 18 from 8 AM – 5:15 in room E350 McCormick Place, Chicago, IL.
